Sidak and Singer Speak at Merger Conference Hosted by George Mason University

Criterion founder J. Gregory Sidak and President Hal Singer spoke at the February 1 merger conference, entitled “Merger Analysis in High Technology Markets.” The GMU conference, sponsored by the Information Economy Project and organized by Professor Joshua Wright, featured state of the art policy discussion by top scholars in the area.

Dr. Singer presented his paper on the recent Google-Doubleclick merger, coauthored with Robert Hahn, on the second panel. Sidak presented his paper on the proposed XM-Sirius merger, coauthored with Dr. Singer, on the third panel.

Other panel participants included Ken Heyer with the DOJ, Howard Shelanski with UC Berkeley, Michael Baye with the FTC, and Richard Gilbert with UC Berkeley. The conference was held at the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia.
