Calomiris Publishes Book on Bank Deregulation

Charles Calomiris's new book, U.S. Bank Deregulation in Historical Perspective, was published by Cambridge University Press in July, 2000. The book discusses the origins and history of American banks and banking regulations, and the differences between U.S. banks and other banks around the world. It shows how deregulation is transforming the size, structure, and geographic range of U.S. banks, the scope of banking services, and the nature of bank-customer relationships.
